Articulating Boom Crane Operator Training

This is qualification training for general industry and delivery work. Participants complete written assessments and hands-on evaluations, and employers use the documentation to designate operators as qualified. For construction activities under OSHA 1926 Subpart CC, third-party, accredited certification is required.

In construction work—when cranes are used to hold, support, or stabilize materials for a construction activity—OSHA requires certification under 1926 Subpart CC.

Yes. Operators learn how to safely use attachments such as grapples, magnets, forks, and clamshells, including how each affects equipment capacity and operating practices.

Crane Tech provides training and written/practical evaluations that support an employer’s qualification decision. Evaluation results are valid for two (2) years. Employers must re-evaluate operators sooner if unsafe operation is observed, workplace conditions change, or a different attachment is used. Operator qualifications are not transferable between employers, and each employer must conduct its own evaluation and identify the employee as qualified.
