Our Story

From a pioneering training program to a comprehensive safety partner.

Founded in 1978, Crane Tech began as a crane and rigging training company focused on practical, field-based instruction that supported safer operations and regulatory compliance. That same year, we delivered the nation’s first commercially available crane and rigging training program setting an early standard for hands-on, experience-driven education.

As client needs and regulatory expectations evolved, Crane Tech expanded beyond training to include inspections and consulting services. This growth allowed us to support organizations more holistically helping them train personnel, evaluate equipment, and strengthen safety practices across their operations.

Today, Crane Tech serves construction, industrial, maritime, and energy operations nationwide. Our work remains grounded in experience, consistency, and a long-standing commitment to safety through education.

Our Instructors

Every Crane Tech instructor has extensive field experience so they relate to real issues with real solutions. Our decades of experience span industries from construction and manufacturing to utilities, maritime, government, and more.

Just as importantly, all have served in supervisory and leadership roles, giving them a deep understanding of both the importance of safety and how to communicate it effectively to your personnel.
