MEWP/Aerial Lift Operator

OSHA requires employers to provide MEWP/aerial lift  operators training and evaluation under 29 CFR 1910.66 and 1910.67. Employers must document that each operator has been trained to recognize hazards, operate the lift safely, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Employers are responsible for ensuring MEWP operators remain qualified. Crane Tech provides training and written/practical evaluations that support this process, with evaluation results valid for two (2) years. Refresher training or re-evaluation is required sooner if unsafe operation is observed, an incident occurs, workplace conditions change, or a different lift type is introduced.
