Training format

This 3-day program combines classroom instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on inspections. Technical sessions cover OSHA/ASME standards and component inspection methods, while field exercises provide practice in applying inspection procedures to actual overhead cranes and hoists. Written exams and practical evaluations confirm competency.

Prerequisites

Participants must:

Be age 18 or older

Be able to comprehend English (verbal and written)

Have basic math skills

Prior crane or rigging experience is strongly recommended

Materials included

Each participant receives a training manual, handouts, inspection charts, and sample inspection forms. Successful inspectors are awarded a certificate of completion, a wallet card, and employer-ready documentation.
