Training format

This 3-day program combines classroom instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on inspections. Technical sessions cover OSHA/ASME standards, inspection procedures, and documentation, while practical exercises provide supervised practice with rigging gear and slings. Written exams and practical evaluations confirm competency.

Prerequisites

Participants must:

Be 18 years of age or older

Be able to read and understand English (verbal and written)

Have basic math skills

Prior rigging experience is strongly recommended

Materials included

Each participant receives a training manual, handouts, inspection charts, and sample inspection forms. Successful inspectors are awarded a certificate of completion, a wallet card, and employer-ready documentation.
